Design and Manufacturing of Four Wheel steering

• In this project, our aim is to reduce overall turning radius of the vehicle. In this project, we used mechanical linkage and a coupling agent to connect the front steering axle to the rear steering axle.
• When the driver steers the car, the direction in which the front wheels turn is opposite the direction in which the rear wheels turn.
• In this system all 4 wheels steer, the result is that inside wheel turn at a smaller radius, hence the inside wheels turn at a steeper angle than the outside wheel. The intention is to avoid wheel slip around curve road or while taking a turn.
• In this system, we use a very small idea and a mechanism to achieve a complex set of action. We have developed a prototype of this project.
